The purpose of organizing this International Conference on Communications, Networking and Signal Processing 2013 (ICCNASP 2013) is to bring all the researchers, engineers, faculty, students and industry on to a common platform to share their research work, solution to various research problems and technical knowledge to enhance the opportunities in communications and signal processing industry. We have been observing the rapid development in technology from the last decade and it has changed the entire scenario of communication systems and processing techniques in various applications. The mobile communications and networking has made our life easy to communicate with anyone through voice and video calls, anywhere in the world and at anytime. The development in VLSI technology has made the portable communication devices for accessing World Wide Web and video calls. Signal Processing algorithms made all the medical related equipment so accurate in measuring and analyzing results and made the diagnosis easy. Still there is lot of scope in the development of communication systems in terms of improving the performance of existing ones like Wifi, Wimax, 3G/4G etc. at an affordable price . So it is the high time for us to discuss the research problems and solutions of existing technology in communications and signal processing. We look forward to your participation in ICCNASP 2013 and make the conference a memorable event.
Founded in 1984 as Vellore Engineering College, the institute was declared a University in recognition of its academic excellence by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India in 2001. VIT has signed 86 MoUs with institutions within India and from countries like Ausralia, Canada, France, Germany, Uk and USA in various disciplines towards exchange of faculty and students, joint programs involving courses as well as research and improvement of laboratory and library facilities. Of the 17,000 students, largely residential, nearly one fourth are women. One thousand qualified faculty members and about 800 administrative and supporting staff facilitate the process of making them not only professional but also industry ready, contributing wealth to the nation.
School of Electronics Engineering (SENSE)
The School of Electronics Engineering at VIT University was established for imparting a state-of the- art education, training and research in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and allied areas. The School offers a Bachelor's level programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Master's programmes in Communication Engineering, Sensor System Technology, VLSI Design and Nanotechnology. The School has a faculty strength of around 100 and attracts the brightest students. The School offers a double degree program in M.Tech Sensor System Technology with the University of Applied Sciences, Karlsruhe, Germany, and M.Tech. Communication Engineering with the UAS, Darmstadt, Germany. The School also offers M.S. and Ph.D programmes.
The placement record has always been very impressive. Many students hold prestigious posts in MNCs and blue-chip companies. The students are performing well in educational institutes and Corporates in Germany, France, Denmark, Canada and U.S.A. They have won many laurels in national and international forums and have published papers in prestigious journals.
